How this example is calculated
70 litres × £0.40 = £28.00 at the pump. Extra fuel: 20 ÷ 30 × 4.54609 × £1.75 ≈ £5.30. The 20 miles include the full extra driving; do not double them. For a 10-litre top-up, the £4.00 pump saving is less than the extra-fuel cost. Your result depends on current prices and your settings.
